Atomic Ranch is a quarterly magazine that aims to celebrate mid-century modern design by revitalizing the culture and promoting ways to inject the style into one's way of living. This project is a redesign of the magazine that aims to reflect qualities of the mid-century modern design movement.

The main objective of the project was creating new image for an existing magazine, based on character of its contents. The redesign involved a new cover, front-of-book article, and the table of contents. The current magazine features bright orange and green colours in its brand guidelines along with the use of a thick type logo. Majority of the redesign involved replacing thick bulky visuals for ones that would evoke a sense of calmness and slowed lifestyle. This was done through the use of clean lines, grids and geometric forms.

A moodboard I created to help me capture the essense of the magazine.
